I also wanna acknowledge our solicitor here. So thank you for joining us and also our council colleagues. So we have two items on the agenda and Burke, if you would be so kind to leave those items into the record, and I also acknowledge our policy analyst, Brandon, also our deputy director of policy and Mr. Gardner, thank you so much for being here, sir.
State of number one, an ordinance transferring 14 Alaska Street to the Providence Redevelopment Agency.
Right, so this first item, to my understanding, we're gonna continue this matter, but I would love to actually give you the or director of real estate Nicholas J. Taylor, if you wanna serve yourself in.

Chickatelli, director of real estate on behalf of the PRA and the Planning Department. Thank you. Chairman, thank you. I'm on fourteen o'clock Skype and spoke with Councilor Morales. These are both in Councilor Morales' board and the plan was that both of these would be advanced today and transferred today.
Is your knowledge older than mine or? That's not our understanding here. So it looks like we're gonna be continuing this item at the BS of the council person in the store, but we can certainly continue it to a certain and we'll move on to the other items as well. But I just wanted to notify you about that. So I know that there are three total items that we wanna take up.
The first item of course, we'll keep it that the last history. And I think that should be asked if the council person in that board, they'd like to continue that item and then we'll move on to item number two. If you
don't know anything better, when I spoke with the councilman, his concern was that they wanted for lack of better terms to be more teeth in how this was transferred. So he came up with the council almost came up with a way to do that via ordinance, which is working in front of me now. So I just wanna stay for the record. I'm confused as to why I'm just getting cool after we had a plan going forward and to carry the councilman's.
Yeah, that's a great question. So as of this afternoon, that was through some conversations that we've had with our policy office, as well as the sponsor of this ordinance, they would like it to be continued so we can continue deliberation. So we'll take this up on a separate docket in addition to, I think there was a Suffolk Street. We're moving forward to hearing that. So I wanna be respectful of the sponsor here.
I can also defer for deputy director policy. I don't know if you wanna speak to this because you guys have been to sponsor as well.
Yeah, think that my information would be, know, it's almost New York requested that ordinance be continued today, but he asked to consideration of the Dorothy ad for seclusion. And he sent that via email to members Ganzas said related to that.
Great. We are moving forward to finally date certain where we can talk about the items that we'll have before us in future meetings. So it would be Alaska Street and potentially Suffolk Street. So we can talk about that offline, we would love to ensure that we get a date on those items, but seeing that the sponsor. number two, resolution transferring 19 Dorothy Avenue to the Providence for Development Agency.
Record, please take it live. Definitely you have, like
you chairman, you have in front of you, both property cards, but I'll point you towards 19 Dorothy Street. It is roughly 28,000 square feet. This was a from all indications, this was a former city road and based on some information and opinions from the planning department, we might work to subdivide this to maximize new housing construction. The councilman and sponsors bill and asked her to transfer this to the agency and use its flexibilities to offer it up to abutters with their request that this move in that way. And it's for this reason that we're using agency for that kind of flexibility.
Just to remind them, committee we haven't talked about this in quite some time but there's ample precedent for this part of special vacant lot program where roughly four twenty five lots were transferred with very similar language about off hire toolbars.
Thank you, director. Questions from community members? Okay. Do you have any additional context here? So it's a 20,000 square foot lot.
It's long and rectangular and if you if you know, based on if you have
to be had conversation with planners, if they recommend carving up, we might get four lots out of this to keep it similarly sized with its neighboring lots. It's currently a long and slender rectangle frontage on three streets.
It sounds like the directive brought her up a lot because of the possibility of constructing new gear on-site. There's a few different ways to
do that. It would have to be a competitive bid, but they would get the opportunity to bid. And then we'd have to come up with opinions of value as to what that number should be. But this is also as discussed with councilor Morales. You also know that this is handled a little bit differently than the ordinance plan that he's working through for the other two ops in his ward.
And that's precisely because we wanna make sure that we can use the agency's flexibility to give it to a better butter should that be a competitive bid.
