The City Plan Commission meeting was called to order at 4:46 PM on June 16. A roll call was conducted to establish a quorum of commissioners and staff.

Approval of May 19 Meeting Minutes

The commission reviewed the minutes from the previous meeting held on May 19. A motion to approve the minutes as drafted was made, seconded, and passed unanimously.

Director's Report

The director reported on the ongoing process to replace the planning technician and discussed rescheduling the July meeting. The commission agreed to move the July meeting from the 14th to the 28th.

Minor Subdivision Extension: Case 24-076UDR

The applicant requested a one-year extension for a minor subdivision with unified development review at 16 to 22 Grove Street. The commission approved the extension request to allow the applicant more time to complete the required tree planting and vehicle stops.

Abandonment of a Portion of Western Street: Referral 3617

The petitioner requested the abandonment of a dead-end portion of Western Street to incorporate it into their property. The commission heard the staff report and public comments, then voted to make a positive recommendation to the City Council subject to certain conditions.

Major Land Development Project: Case 24-069MA (70 Houghton Street)

The applicant presented a preliminary plan to construct seven commercial multipurpose buildings for warehousing and light manufacturing at 70 Houghton Street. The commission granted a waiver for the site survey and approved the preliminary plan with conditions.

Unified Development Review: Case 26-046UDR (14 Cargill Street)

The applicant proposed constructing a four-story medical services building and requested a design waiver and a parking variance. After extensive public comment and deliberation, a tie vote on the parking variance led the commission to continue the matter to the August 18 meeting.
