And I know the colonel has some things going on, so we'll shift on to police next if that would be okay with you and then wrap up with our meeting departments. Services. At this point in time, we are still waiting for the fiscal year 2026 period grant application period to open. We are told that will happen on June 10, and so we are expecting that we will be applying for the 2026 allocation on June 10, and then 2027 allocation will be applied for as soon as that period opens up. At this point in time though, all of our other federal grants are being reimbursed in
So we're pretty confident that that will work out. Total proposed expenditures in fiscal year Total fiscal year twenty twenty six salaries were budgeted 350,000 $357,011. In fiscal year twenty twenty seven, we are making adjustments for cost of living increases for $7,621,

Don't understand. So where is it gonna reflect in next year's budget?
The FEMA funding will not come out of the operating budget next year. Like any sort of or not FEMA. I'm sorry.
World Cup. World Cup funding will not come out of the operating budget next year with the exception of the police.
So the $2.50 is for FIFA related?

Any questions on the presentation before we move to the director's report? The floor is yours, director. I know you've been extremely busy and thank you for everything that you do to keep our city safe.
Thank you very much. Yeah. It's been a little bit of a busy year for us this year. Unfortunately, we never like being this busy. So the last year we had all of our regular training exercises, preparations, plans that we normally do.
And then we unfortunately were called on to implement some of those plans and operations on December 13 in response to the ground shooting. And then my team also supported the tuck in a month and a half later, two months later, at tuck in shooting. We went up there and supported their operations. And then we also just went through a truly historic blizzard. So we've been a little bit busy with emergency activations.
And then on top of that, we've been heavily involved over the last year and almost a half with preparations for people World Cup. So we are in the final stages of preparations for operating in support of the fan zone and all of the other activations into the rest of the city. I promise will be lots of fun. So we've been doing a lot of the collaborative work across city departments and with our partners at the state and regional level. We just came from multiple meetings today about that as well and we're looking forward to putting that
So I would welcome any questions you all have.
Any questions committee I know this isn't gonna be a question, it's gonna be a comment about how great you are.
Literally, I'm glad you're back.
I see this looking, how's the way it was based.
Well, now I'll start with my question and then I'll end with my comment. So my my actual question and then I'll go to my comment. Which everyone is coming. It's director, welcome back.
it all and then also beyond the you're just it relates to like when the Brown shooting happened, when the Tuckus shooting happened, during the historic blizzard, Ashita's coming up. There are all these things where it feels like you play a really key role, but can you describe what Pima's role is like within the larger ecosystem?
Yeah. Absolutely. So one of our primary roles is the preparedness component of that. So the training exercise and planning that happens in preparation for all hazards. So these are just highlighting some of the recent ones we've had to actually operationalize these plans and procedures.
