And I I similar to Councilman grades, that's how would love to just gain from your expertise and your experience, particularly in the.

I'm a submitter, housing and community development division director. We are pleased to join you here again this evening to present our proposed 7,000 grant budget on behalf of mayor Smiley. As a reminder, this budget is gonna serve as the second year of thought adjustments under our 2025 to twenty twenty nine five year consolidated plan. We did receive almost a 100 worthwhile proposals. And, of course, we did we have to make some incredibly difficult decisions due to the tremendous level of ask that we've received and, of course, all the federal uncertainty.
In total, we received $17,500,000 in requests with $12,500,000 in CPG. As mentioned last week, HUD announced the federal fiscal year '26 CPG, home, ESG, and HOPWA allocations for the year that has enabled us to develop a sub a budget that reflects actual allocations rather than having to use projections and contingency provisions. So as some next steps, as you know, the shared goal of the committee process is to work collaboratively to get the budget into file form and then pass the budget twice.

I think you were the the first chartered low income, credit union in the state of Rhode Island, which is an incredible deal. And, I mean, you've been around for as long as I've been alive.
And I just again, thank you for your leadership and all that you're doing for the city of Providence. Thank you so much.

So we continue to open our doors every day to provide a safe space to try to help people get back and have things positive for them. So I hope everybody has a
to walk through that and just We practice what we call radical hospitality at our church, and that's inviting people from all walks of life. We've been experiencing poverty, hopelessness, and lack of shelter, to fully participate in the life of the church. So as I mentioned before, our church is open five days a week. That's approximately twenty seven hours per week. We have drop in services every day that we open, and we're open to all of our faith, religion, and civil service.
To those who were with the IRS as DI. We have over 80 bus passes that we purchased So we've obviously seen a speed increase in our food and security for the opportunity. Obviously, what could happen next month with snap benefits here, wanting to make sure that we continue to provide services to help our friends with basic checks. Last year, we had all volunteers at June 4 that really struggled for our house. High pressure trying to meet the need that came through our doors every day just increased.
Every day, we could see more. So our goal last year, as He works in 2019 to 2025 in a culinary trade at Harvest Kitchen. That So these are our 2026 proposed rules. We've decided to have And then the goal would be to provide six graduates, into employment with this industry to support that. You know, federal funds support so many things for us, with job trades, emergency housing assistance.
These programs would be accessible and culturally responsive to the province, adverse populations, helping residents achieve stability and economic health. So just to sum everything up, our our office program, I'm sure, is providing
