they look bummed. So my understanding is that we are here to discuss the tax and tax status of Klobac Inc. On a profit and provider. And I just know that there's not anyone here from Kodak, which I think is. But I know you are here to talk to us about this matter.
Well, I won't get into the questions that you might have. Either, I unfortunately sorry. We're hoping to have some we'll have mister speaker as well. Mhmm. He did reach out and invited somebody to come and attend, but if not successful in doing so, our office did not receive a tax incentive application applications from them originally.
I guess they went straight to the house and senate quote, which is sort of things. So I don't have anything to review or anything to make a determination about tax exempt status.
So can you just explain to me thank you for bringing up the process. They have to put an application into the common tax exempt.
That that's what they process.
When does that actually have I mean, I would assume it's first before they go to the state legislature.
Right. I don't know historically how it's done with the previous taxes on applications. The state side of it, I'm not as familiar with that at all. Usually, they come to us and make a determination, and sometimes, you know, they come before this body or to the state, and they pass legislation enabling them to do so. And if it's in enabling legislation, then they can consent.
I don't know if they have to come to us first. I would have to ask the director to, unfortunately, if not, attend today.

Yes. Well, I have someone I'd like to share. So when it does come to, you know, the taxes and status of organizations, you know, there are, you know, two different routes. They could go to the assessor's office and, you know, submit an application, and there are certain, like, you know, exhibitions that are actually outlined in the state that the assessor's office would have to follow state law. Right.
And if they meet certain criteria, then they have to do so. But the other route is if they simply go right to the general assembly and they get this, you know, passed into federal 44, it just simply supersedes anything the city would like to do, and they will automatically, you know, text them. So those are the two routes. I couldn't say as to why they need to be accepted. Just oftentimes, though, even in my experience in the past, we ask organizations sometimes to go that route because it's a little easier to do it like that.
And I certainly understand that with all the bad organizations who have come to us looking for tax exempt status, and we have in the past said please go to the state. But on the other hand, they always the state always wants a resolution Mhmm. Supporting that. And so my question to you is who submitted this to the docket?
So this was by request of the administration because they were supportive, and you were asked to place it on the docket.
I mean, my feeling on this, I'm just gonna say it. I mean, I know the work that Code Act does. We all do. But if they're not here or someone isn't here from them to ask for that, I just you know, I I if I'm off the line to have this continued, I just don't think this is depressing. That's fair.
And to add one more comment, I'll say that the general assembly, they are putting on recess this week. They're not doing anything. So, I mean, I think that if this was delayed, if you choose to to subsequently, I don't believe that if it's still the process that would be
