Call to Order and Roll Call
Chairperson Miguel Sanchez called the meeting of the Pathways and Gun Violence Advisory Council to order. The clerk conducted the roll call, determining that a quorum of seven members was present.
Item 2: CVI Funding Strategies, Mentorship Pilot, and Advocacy Developments
The council held an extensive discussion on Community Violence Intervention (CVI) funding, mentorship program models, and creating centralized youth resource directories. I was gonna say that I updated the volunteer sheet from everyone's feedback so we can, you know, distribute that in deep sign ups. The next step is to, like, work with, like, Lisa, the Animals Institute or another entity to kinda, like, break out what does the training look like, you know, what is the process before we we get that application out. And I'd say that our schedule, like, our timeline to get this figured out should be before the next year starts. Yeah. I think that makes sense.

Do you have anything on that? The White House for gun violence prevention has been eliminated. So there is no White House office for gun violence prevention. DOJ has obviously everything's kind of been torn apart. So they are so there are some DOJ grants that are still going.

They're not I have not heard either way if CBI will be funded directly or if it will be just being written into other components of funding that has a well, I don't know if you've heard anything different, Corey, but they the AG's office officially has one grant that's under review, which is our hate crimes prevention grant.
