Call to Order and Roll Call
The meeting of the Providence Board of Contract and Supply was called to order on May 20, 2024. The roll was called, establishing that a quorum of eight members was present.
Election of Chairperson
A motion was made and seconded to elect a temporary chairperson to preside over the meeting. The motion was approved unanimously, and the attendance of the deputy city sergeant was recorded.
Section B: Opening of Bids
The board opened and read public bids for various municipal projects, including police veterinary services, public property fleet and building contracts, and water supply board supplies. A motion was subsequently approved to refer all submitted bids to the city clerk's office.
Correction of the Record (May 6 Meeting)
The clerk corrected the official record from the May 6 meeting regarding the reported number of bids received for several school and neighborhood design-build contracts. Because of these necessary corrections, formal minutes from that meeting were not presented for approval.
Section C: Advertisements
The board considered the advertisements listed under Section C and authorized the readvertising of items 11 and 17 from Section B. The motion to approve the advertisements passed unanimously.
Section A: Review and Approval
The board reviewed items 1 through 57 in Section A, noting Councilwoman Anthony's recusal on item 37 and clarifying questions regarding contract amounts on items 40 and 41. Following a roll call vote, the items were approved with several designated for City Council review.

A motion was introduced and seconded to adjourn the meeting. The board voted in favor, and the meeting was adjourned.
